Qxtender - User Guide - Setting the Data Mode

When Qxtender is started, it will prompt to select a Data Mode.

If Qxtender is already running choose "Set Data Mode..." from the File menu, or click the "Set Data Mode" button on Qxtender's toolbar.

Select the Data Mode you wish to use and click "OK."

NOTE: "QB Direct File Mode" was removed in Qxtender 3.0.

Hints for choosing a Data Mode

Hover the mouse pointer over a Data Mode and a hint box will appear listing the Plugins installed that are supported by the Data Mode.

QB Integrated Application Mode should be used whenever possible. This method connects to the QuickBooks SDK and is generally the fastest and most reliable method.

Startup Options

Whether the Data Mode options dialog appears at startup can be set in Preferences.

"Preferences" is found on the File menu of Qxtender.
