Qxtender - User Guide - Troubleshooting
"...DLL out of date" errors after running Online Update utility
The principal causes of this type of error are:
- Qxtender not closing completely when application updates are applied.
- User cancelling Qupdater applet before it completes.
- Incomplete or corrupt update files.
- Failed installations.
- Out of date version of Qxtender.
|
Take the following steps to uninstall and reinstall Qxtender.
- First, reboot your computer to release any inadvertent locks on Qxtender's application files.
- Open the "Add or Remove Programs" Control Panel applet. Locate Qxtender in the list and choose "remove". (Control Panel can be found on your Windows Start button)
- Download the current Qxtender installer.
- Install it, then run Qxtender. If the reminder to update message appears, cancel it. Select the Tech Support Info Tool from the Help menu and follow the instructions to email the system info to Qtools. (this way if you have a problem after this we will have more information to troubleshoot with).
- Now run the Online Update utility to get the Plugins you use.
If the above fails to correct the problem, Contact Qtools Support with a description of the remaining problem(s). |
